Leave the Same Day With a Tooth in Place
With a traditional dental implant, the post is placed into the jaw and then left to heal for several months before the final tooth is fitted. During that time a gap stays visible or a removable temporary is worn.
Same day dental implants compress that into a single appointment. The implant and a fixed tooth are placed together, so you leave the same day with a tooth in place. This treatment is also called teeth in a day. It is performed at our Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin offices by our oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and implant consultations are free.
What Are Same Day Dental Implants?
A same day dental implant is the same titanium or zirconia implant used in any implant case. What changes is the timing. The implant is placed into the jawbone and a tooth is fitted onto it during the same visit, rather than waiting for the bone to fuse first.
The bone still takes several months to fuse to the implant. The difference is that you are not without a tooth while it happens.

Our Same Day Implant Process
Before the day. A 3D scan of the jaw using our CBCT scanner shows bone volume, nerve position and sinus anatomy. The implant position is planned from that scan before anything is placed. This scan is also what determines whether same day placement is possible in your case.
On the day. Any tooth that needs removing is removed, the implant is placed into the jaw, and a tooth is fitted onto it. Local anaesthetic or sedation is used, and sedation is handled in house by the same surgical team.
Afterwards. You leave with a fixed tooth. The bone fuses to the implant over the following months, and the permanent restoration is fitted once that is complete.
