Dr. Gregory Hunter joined Nevada Oral and Facial Surgery in January 2013. As the premier Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Nevada, Dr. Hunter is excited to be a part of the team providing patients with excellent surgical care. Dr. Hunter is also active in the dental community of Nevada, serving as a delegate for the Southern Nevada Dental Society.
Dr. Hunter is a native westerner. He grew up in Provo, Utah and attended Utah State University. In 2002 he graduated in the top of his class from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Indiana University. Dr. Hunter stayed at Indiana University and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at IU Medical Center, Methodist Hospital and Riley Children’s Hospital in 2007. He is currently a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Hunter practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is most passionate about facial reconstruction including trauma, congenital and acquired facial defects. Before moving to Nevada, Dr. Hunter was an active member of the Colorado West Cleft Palate team. He was also part of a team that traveled to Peru to perform facial reconstruction to cleft and trauma Peruvians.
Dr. Hunter is committed to professional excellence. He has been the director of RimRock Seminars, a Seattle Study Club affiliate, and has been an advocate for his peers in refining and perfecting techniques that provide patients with optimal care. He believes that continued professional development is the key to delivering to patients the results they want and deserve.
